The alluring Saroléa MANX7 electric motorcycle – 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds
In 2010, the Saroléa name was resurrected, after nearly 40 years, when it was bought by twin brothers Tortsen and Bjorn Robbens, who wanted to develop and build high-performance 100% electric race machines.
Up until 2014, the first SP7 race bike was built by hand at their workshop in Belgium. All components were designed and engineered by Torsten Robbens.
At the 2014 Isle of Man TT Zero, racer, Robert Wilson took the all-carbon SP7 to an amazing 4th place, at an average speed of 93.50 mph, just 0.4 seconds off the podium.
In 2017, with more knowledge and experience, Dean Harrison took the third version of the SP7 to a healthy 4th place, winning a bronze replica with an average speed of 108.064 mph (20:56.924). Inspired by the success of the SP7 in November 2017, Saroléa launched a limited series of their street-legal superbike, MANX7.
The MANX7 is based on the same technology, performance and intelligence as their SP7 TT race bikes. Production is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2018.
“… acceleration is instantaneous, silent and smooth, twist the throttle and in as little
as 3.0 seconds it’s traveling at 100 km per hour, without hesitation, and without a drop of gasoline.”
The core of the MANX7 is a carbon fiber monocoque chassis including the swingarm. This combination of materials and techniques results in a lightweight, super strong and rigid chassis.
Due to its configuration and structural design the MANX7 has the ideal weight distribution of 50% front and 50% at the rear. With a top speed of 241 km (150 mph), and from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds, the balanced weight distribution gives the bike great handling.
Charging time (DC) with the 14 kWh lithium-ion battery from 0 – 85 percent is 25 minutes , with range of 230 km (143 miles). With a 18 kWh battery the range is 280 km (174 miles), and with a 22 kWh battery it reaches 330 km (205 miles).
The MANX7 starts at €42,975. For more information Contact Sarolea
