The Chaplin, LSL Custom tribute to the Harley-Davidson Knucklehead
Jochen Schmitz-Linkweiler, whose goal is to make a good bike perfect, founded LSL Motorradtechnik, a German firm from Krefeld, which designs and produces unique custom bikes as well as manufacture high end motorcycle performance and appearance aftermarket parts.
In 1996 Jochen persuaded the Chaplin family seven children for permission to use their name on ten custom Harley-Davidson Springers he titled, The Chaplin.
The Chaplin,based on the Harley-Davidson Springer, was reworked into the style of the Harley-Davidson Knucklehead. Harley Davidson’s first production OHV motorcycle, manufactured and sold from 1936 through 1947.
